This latch may be used with solid doors, or modern pre-bored doors with the 2-1/8\” hole already cut out (with the black adapter piece). The latch will accommodate both the standard & common 3/8\” – 20 TPI square shaft spindles found on most old-style doorknobs, & will also work with thicker 5/16\” sized spindles as well. The well-made & durable spring loaded mechanism provides a secure & smooth operation when used. The latch is designed for a passage (non locking) function on doors.
