Flamenco Trumpet Vine (Campsis radicans ‘Flamenco’) Flamenco Trumpet Vine (Campsis radicans ‘Flamenco’) is a vigorous, native deciduous climber prized for its brilliant red-orange trumpet flowers and ability to quickly cover fences, trellises, or arbors. A selection of the American trumpet vine, ‘Flamenco’ offers improved flower production and a slightly more restrained growth habit, while still providing bold summer color and attracting hummingbirds in abundance. Distinctive Features ‘Flamenco’ produces clusters of vibrant, 3-inch trumpet-shaped flowers in shades of fiery red to orange from midsummer through early fall. The blooms emerge in succession, providing a long-lasting display over lush, deep green compound foliage. While still a fast grower, this cultivar is better behaved than standard Campsis radicans, making it more manageable for residential landscapes. Its aerial rootlets allow it to cling to structures, and it can grow as a climber or be pruned into a large shrub form.
